Rahul Srivastava

OM Rahul was the former Deputy Director (NECTAR), Department of Science and Technology Govt of India. He is an avid homebrewer and designer and his hobby mainly involves designs that are open sourced and is a keen supporter of Open source design. Many of his designs can be found on the net and various forums. He is also involved in designing projects for many DX clubs. When not playing with the soldering iron he is busy ragchewing with his friends and loves doing so.

On the professional front he is currently involved with a multinational company  in the solar energy sector.

Though India has seen some excellent transceiver designs being developed in recent years, low cost RF amplifiers designs however are a rarity. On being requested by many of his friends to design a PCB with multiple IRF510 to deliver power in the range of 100w-plus he designed a few PCB’s and posted the same on Indian Homebrewers facebook page. After coming across a very nice design by an Italian HAM which uses 10 numbers of IRF510 he decided to adopt it into his design.
This amplifier operates on 28 Volts and is a standard push pull class AB design with the following specs:
Gain 14db, IMD -32db, Power input 3W, Power output 120W, Voltage in 28V, Current 15Amp
